*Tiny Autumn Poem*
Autumn leaves floating down too quickly to catch we miss our chance at good fortune for another year but it doesn't stop us giggling NOW running between the oaks & maples warming in the cool afternoon golden light slashing our eyes trying again & again. Before we head to the swings feet pumping I try to teach him how to get higher his eleven year old body without the weight needed to propel him he twirls instead then launches himself Superman-like we both enjoy the time: him in the moment me as if it could be the last.
